In 1888, a company originally named New Orleans Import Company was established as a spice importing company. The cajun spices and cajun seasonings were destined for the kitchens of New Orleans and the worlds most demanding chefs so the ingredients had to be special. They were selected with care and blended with skill. The name changed to King of Spices, Rex Fine Foods. Rex was the first manufacturer to offer crab boil and seasoned fish fry.
Our Family roots are on Bayou Black, Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.
