Fried Oysters with Horseradish Cream Sauce

» Horseradish Cream Sauce

  • 4 Tbs. Horseradish
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs. REX Creole Mustard
  • 1 tsp. REX Whole Sweet Basil
Mix together all ingredients. Heat in a saucepan on low heat for approximately 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

  • 2 dz. oysters
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 oz. beer
  • 3 Tbs. REX Louisiana Red Hot Sauce
  • 3 Tbs. REX Creole Mustard
  • 10 oz. REX Fish Fry
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 3 Tbs. REX Dry Crab Boil
  • oil for fryer
Set deep fryer to 350. Mix eggs, beer, REX Louisiana Red Hot Sauce and REX Creole Mustard. Add oysters and set aside in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Blend REX Fish Fry, corn meal and REX Dry Crab Boil. Dredge oysters in mix. Fry for 2 minutes in deep fryer. Serve with horseradish cream sauce.
